Tis the Season

With just a few "stragglers" left from this rainy weather left to shoot(they tried to shoot early but the rain so no thank you!) , we are officially wrapping things up!  Yes I still have about 30 cards to design and 15 people to proof but with just a few more all nighters (it is 2:27 at the moment and I have a fresh cup of coffee) I should be all caught up!  I am working as hard as I can to have everyone done by the first of the month so we can have plenty of time to turn around cards and pictures.  We work with the best labs who are still right on track with their fast turn aorund times.  Thank you to all of my amazing clients!  2009 has been an amazing year!

Did you see our TV slot Thursday morning on Ch 11?  You can view it at http://cbs11tv.com/video just search my last name (Headington).  I did not have a whole lot of time but we touched on  why to choose a professional photographer and some examples of what to wear.  All in all it was lots of fun!

If you watched, you may have seen this one of my kids...a new favorite!!!  Could they really be any cuter?  They kill me!!! (more to come on our own holiday cards!)

I have been asked by a few to reload these....

Train Minis

Or should I say "Rain Minis"!  LOL  We had our Train Mini this morning and it drizzled on and off (mostly on) thru most of the morning while we were shooting!  At some moments, looking thru the glass on my lens was like looking thru a rainy window!  Not the BEST of shooting conditions!  BUT we had familes dressed and ready to go and so super excited to have their pictures made so we fought the weather!

Mini sessions are good for a number of reasons...they are quick and fast and with around 10-12 proofs on average it is not overwhelming when proofing.  Lots of my repeat clients BEG me not to show them 30 proofs because they just can not walk away from any of the pictures and it gets them in trouble (wink)

Thanks to my brave clients who stuck it out in the cold and wind and wet...I think it was worth the battle : )

Hope you are all warm and in bed now!

This was actually the last session of the day and the rain had moved on for the most part!  Do I even have to say that I was a little giddy with their outfits?  Oh, and that these kids were BEAUTIFUL!!! Great job mom! (on both counts..LOL)

These two were ready to rock as soon as they stepped out of the car!  We had lots of fun and got lots of great shots!  The rain worked a bit in our favor here and really helped bring out this handsome guys curls!  I kept trying to tell him he would love to come home and play with Logan bc they both love to jam out to Hannah Montanah courtesy of theie big sisters!  Love how the outfits have a classic feel with a vintage/modern twist (is that possible? ... well, you KWIM!)  LOVE the kiss with the wind blowing in her hair...an example of the "elements" giving us some artistic help!

This sweet family called this morning to say after getting three kids ready, they were coming rain or shine!  I LOVE IT!  I knew they would be up for it bc I have been shooting this family since big sis was just a tiny baby!  Sweet girl was just not feeling it today...we all tried everything and she would not crack us a smile.  Thats okay...I like those pretty blue eyes anyway!

ESPN E60

I had the opportunity to be a small part in this sweet family's story when ESPN came into town to video them for a story they were doing on The Wares  .  Such a touching and inspiring story.  You can also go to his new website to read more about him and purchase his new 94 apparel line.  I am blessed to work with this family and more so to call them friends.  Love you miss Marley!

Okay...I couldn't wait any longer

I had to share some of Adi...and just one of Lo for now.  Poor guy went basically the whole trip with no nap so he wasn't up much for pictures!

Im back...

Okay, I got back late Sunday night and hit the ground running.  These next 6 weeks will be nutty around here as we are in full swing for Fall and Holiday sessions!  Fall is my favorite time to shoot!  I love the colors!  Shoting in Ohio was a BLAST!  Half of our sessions got canceled bc of nasty weather but we had one day of amazing weather and we made the most of it!  I know everyone wants to see some shots of my kids here and I do plan on working on some but for now, I wanted to share from a couple of the familes I shot...more to come I PROMISE but for now...

These were all shot in these kiddos' BACK YARD!  Now tell me why we all live in TExas!  LOL...to all my photographer friends up north...I AM IN ENVY! : )

Sweet Sweet boys!  Here are just a couple of the amazing shots we got!!!

And some of my favorite kids!  Their daddy got lucky bc the weather was bad and then they had to leave early Saturday for an away game!  I will get you next time!  LOL

My friend Katie found this place before I even got there...I was so proud of her!!!  Oh and about the chair...

Only I would go into Salvation Army and pick this chair up for TWENTY BUCKS!  Isn't it the greatest!

And just a couple more of my baby Kason.  I think he is the happiest baby I have ever seen!  Almost 5 months here...where did the time go?

And I am off again...

We had a n AMAZING time in NYC and was back just long enough to unpack and pack again.  I am off to Ohio to visit my friends the Colemans and shoot their sweet family and some of their team mates there at the Browns.  Can't wait to see them!  Before I left I wanted to show you all some favorites from my session the other night with JD and Miss S.  As always, you know how important you are to our family...I know God plopped you down right in the center of our lives for a reason!!  Love you my friend!

I am in love with this giggle..they were so silly this night!!
