Train Minis
Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 11:56PM Or should I say "Rain Minis"! LOL We had our Train Mini this morning and it drizzled on and off (mostly on) thru most of the morning while we were shooting! At some moments, looking thru the glass on my lens was like looking thru a rainy window! Not the BEST of shooting conditions! BUT we had familes dressed and ready to go and so super excited to have their pictures made so we fought the weather!
Mini sessions are good for a number of reasons...they are quick and fast and with around 10-12 proofs on average it is not overwhelming when proofing. Lots of my repeat clients BEG me not to show them 30 proofs because they just can not walk away from any of the pictures and it gets them in trouble (wink)
Thanks to my brave clients who stuck it out in the cold and wind and wet...I think it was worth the battle : )
Hope you are all warm and in bed now!
This was actually the last session of the day and the rain had moved on for the most part! Do I even have to say that I was a little giddy with their outfits? Oh, and that these kids were BEAUTIFUL!!! Great job mom! (on both counts..LOL)

These two were ready to rock as soon as they stepped out of the car! We had lots of fun and got lots of great shots! The rain worked a bit in our favor here and really helped bring out this handsome guys curls! I kept trying to tell him he would love to come home and play with Logan bc they both love to jam out to Hannah Montanah courtesy of theie big sisters! Love how the outfits have a classic feel with a vintage/modern twist (is that possible? ... well, you KWIM!) LOVE the kiss with the wind blowing in her hair...an example of the "elements" giving us some artistic help!

This sweet family called this morning to say after getting three kids ready, they were coming rain or shine! I LOVE IT! I knew they would be up for it bc I have been shooting this family since big sis was just a tiny baby! Sweet girl was just not feeling it today...we all tried everything and she would not crack us a smile. Thats okay...I like those pretty blue eyes anyway!
